The eight-year-old child is uncomfortable with his male first name, Aitor. The nickname Cocó doesn't feel quite so clearly wrong, but it doesn't feel right either. Lucía would be best. Summer vacation with her mother at her grandmother and great-aunt's house allows Lucía to explore different possibilities of female identity. Just as nature needs the bees of the great-aunt, a beekeeper, the child needs the women from different generations with their fears, doubts and with their love for the determination of her own identity.

Cautious, observant, attentive to the child's perspective, Solaguren tells, in the form of a family film, how changes can begin in small ways. Eight-year-old Sofía Otero, who plays a boy who is a girl, was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Acting Performance at the Berlinale.
