In her songs, Annie Bloch shapes a passing feeling into a form. It is an attempt to hold something that defies logic and then inevitably takes on a life of its own. If it becomes a story, it is a fragmented one - the romanticization fails, the rhyme does not work.

Their sound remains human, raw and direct, not striving for perfection, but for utopia. It should feel light and urgent. Annie Bloch mixes acoustic drums, guitar and clarinets with electric guitars and colorful synths, immersing you in their harmony and enveloping you in the velvety warmth of her voice. A feel-good moment that gives comfort and strength, only to plunge back into the depths, face the next contradictions and get loud where necessary. Despite the dreamy echoes, the settings of their songs are not poetically transfigured, but are presented in the clear, dry light of everyday life.

This is how Four Trips To The Shop (Papercup Records, 2024) describes the inner storm that arises while you go shopping or how nostalgia overcomes you while you order a coffee. The fleeting becomes concrete for the duration of a song.
