Turin Brakes are returning to their roots with acoustic shows, performing songs from throughout their career. Their acoustic tour in the fall of 2024 sold nearly 10,000 tickets and was extended through 2025 due to high demand—featuring guest appearances by John Bramwell (I Am Kloot).
Turin Brakes, founded by childhood friends Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, released their Mercury Prize-nominated debut album *The Optimist LP* in March 2001 (which went gold in the UK) and followed it in 2003 with their most commercially successful album, “Ether Song.” More sonically ambitious than their debut, it reached No. 4 on the official UK album charts and features the Top 5 single “Pain Killer (Summer Rain).” Their new album, “Spacehopper,” is now available.
The band currently consists of Knights, Paridjanian, and longtime bandmates Rob Allum and Eddie Myer. In recent live reviews, they’ve been praised as “an impressive live band with equally strong songs,” while the Sunday Times, in a four-star review of their latest album “Wide-Eyed Nowhere,” attests that they “continue to set the standard”. Turin Brakes have a total of seven Top 40 singles, six Top 40 albums, and have sold over one million records worldwide.
In October 2026, the band will play three intimate acoustic shows.
