Legendary metal icons Twisted Sister announce exclusive 50th anniversary concert in Germany

New York, NY - Twisted Sister are back - bigger, louder and more uncompromising than ever. The band that made music history with "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2026 with special live performances.

As part of these anniversary celebrations, Twisted Sister will play their only concert in Germany at the LANXESS arena in Cologne on July 23, 2026. They will be supported by Darren Wharton's RENEGADE (from Thin Lizzy) and AMH, who will open the evening with top-class rock.

Founding member and manager Jay Jay French proudly looks back on half a century of band history: "On February 2, 1976, in a little bar called The Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, NY, Dee Snider, Eddie Ojeda and I named ourselves Twisted Sister. Almost five decades later, we are celebrating an anniversary that once seemed impossible. We are proud of what we have created together. Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted!" Guitarist Eddie Ojeda adds: "Fifty years later, Twisted Sister is still the soundtrack for all rebels - with a reason to turn up the volume." Frontman Dee Snider adds: "If you're lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years, how can you say no? Twisted F***ing Sister will be back on stage in 2026 - WE STILL WANNA ROCK!"

Twisted Sister have made music history in five decades - from the clubs of the 1970s to the MTV breakthrough of the 1980s to sold-out tours and worldwide success. With more than 35 million albums sold, international awards and anthems that have shaped generations, they are one of the most influential forces in heavy metal. The concert at the LANXESS arena in Cologne is Twisted Sister's only appearance in Germany and promises to be a unique event for all fans who want to experience the band live.
