Tyler Ballgame still believes in love. He sings about it in the single "I Believe in Love" from his debut album "For the First Time, Again", wonderfully beguiling. With charismatic ease, the Los Angeles-based artist sings about the little and big things in life in a way that goes straight to the heart. Ballgame already knew during the creation process that the record would change his life. His producer advised him to write nothing more than the greatest song in the world. No sooner said than done. "I Believe in Love" has a captivating effect, hitting a nerve in its gentle rawness that soothes the soul in overstimulated everyday life.

With twelve songs, the debut album, released at the beginning of the year, is a small masterpiece by a talented singer whose fascinating vocal color has a direct effect on the listener. During his exuberantly successful tour of the UK and Europe and several concerts in Germany this spring, audiences have already been captivated by the American singer-songwriter's engaging stage presence. Inspired by singers from the 60s and 70s such as John Lennon, Roy Orbison and Leonard Cohen, Tyler Ballgame's music is influenced by everything from Americana to indie pop.

He immediately met with enthusiasm at Rough Trade Records and was signed directly. As the son of a classically trained music teacher, music has always been central to Tyler Ballgame's life. It was she who encouraged him to pursue music. During the pandemic, the bleak world situation pushed Ballgame into a depressive phase, but he already knew there that music would pull him out. And so music became a revival, a destined path, because as Ballgame says, that's what he's in the world for: "I think I'm meant to sing for people". Surrounded by talented musicians, Ballgame found his voice, his album is about the journey out of darkness and hopefully finding meaning in life.
