TYPE & ACT – live geschrieben & performt

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

It is not a reading, not a rehearsal, and certainly not a finished play, but a one-of-a-kind, unrepeatable live performance. A leap forward or a play on the present moment.

Under the title VERSCHWINDEN IST BESSER ALS HIER (Disappearing Is Better Than Staying Here), the group missingsdots will present six performances as part of the TYPE & ACT series, in which the text is written live by the respective authors. In each episode, a different author types. The words emerge in the moment. The performers react directly: text becomes action—action meets material—material alters action—action meets the text again, and vice versa. No one knows who will provide the next impulse. The author, the performers, the scenographer? The only certainty is this: everything influences everything else. The artists write and perform live. A unique, unrepeatable live performance. This time featuring Leipzig-based author Giorgio Ferretti.

Giorgio Ferretti ( born in 1990 in Italy) lives in Leipzig and is an author and editor. He studied literature and cultural studies in Italy and Germany, as well as creative writing at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, and is currently the editor-in-chief of the literary magazine *Edit*. He has received numerous awards and grants (including the exil Playwright Prize, a fellowship from the 25th Klagenfurt Literature Course, and the Wortmeldungen Support Prize) and has published in numerous literary journals, including Akzente, BELLA triste, PS Politisch Schreiben, Jenny, and Das Narr. In addition, his play *AMERICA* premiered at the Schauspiel Leipzig in 2023.
