When dealing with people suffering from dementia, we often feel helpless and at a loss when faced with their altered behavior. In this lecture by Iris Gorke (Dipl.-Sozialpäd.) you will first receive basic information about the clinical picture and the diagnostic possibilities. You will also learn how those affected perceive themselves and their environment. This perspective makes it easier for us to better recognize the needs of people with dementia and to respond appropriately.
The presentation also offers practical communication tips and information on support services that make everyday life much easier.
