Poesie für unseren Planeten

In the organizer's words:

Open Stage at the “Friedensklima” Exhibition at the ÖBZ

The colorfully designed steles on the lawn in front of the Ecological Education Center (ÖBZ) at Englschalkinger Straße 166, 81927 Munich, represent the 17 goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. They embody peace, justice, clean water, and everything necessary for a good life on this planet.

The outdoor exhibition “Friedensklima” is part of the ÖBZ’s 25th-anniversary program and invites poets to present their interpretations of these goals on an open stage on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 6 p.m.

Visitors will hear the poems during a tour of the exhibition. The organizers are not only looking for works that promote grand concepts like sustainability; a poem might just as well be about a brave dandelion holding its ground in a crack in the asphalt. Fears and critical perspectives are welcome; romanticization and laughter are also encouraged.

All recited poems will be displayed as part of the exhibition, which runs through September.

This evening offers the opportunity to get to know the ÖBZ and its nature gardens, as well as plenty of chances for personal interaction.

Registration for presenters is recommended at info@poesiebriefkasten.de. Free admission is available.
