Queer literature was never a side note - it just wasn't read as such for a long time. In Und jetzt queer!: Lesen jenseits der Norm, published by Leykam Verlag, Marlon Brand, Bianca-Maria Braunshofer and Tobi Schiller show how diverse literature can be beyond familiar canon narratives. It's about books as spaces of possibility, about identity, visibility and the joy of rediscovering literature with a broader perspective.
On July 9, 2026, Marlon Brand (Instagram: @booksaregayasfuck) will present the book at Maurits Buch & Handlung in downtown Cologne. An evening about queer literary history, new perspectives on old shelves and the desire to think reading further.
