Book presentation with C. Bernd Sucher
In conversation with Tom Ku?era, Rabbi of the Liberal Jewish Community of Munich Beth Shalom, C. Bernd Sucher presents his new book "Unsicherere Heimat". With a look into the past and into the present Sucher pursues in it the question: Do Jews in Germany have a future? To this end, he has conducted many conversations with, among others, the first German rabbi after the Shoah, Antje Yael Deusel, the historian Norbert Frei, the American-German writer Deborah Feldman and the president of the IKG Munich and Upper Bavaria, Charlotte Knobloch.
C. Bernd Sucher has been a professor at the University of Television and Film in Munich since 1996 and heads the supplementary course in theater, film and television criticism at the August Everding Theater Academy. The longtime theater critic for the Süddeutsche Zeitung is a PEN member and has written numerous books. With his series of events "Suchers Leidenschaften" (Suchers Passions), he has been delighting culturally interested audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for almost 20 years.
