On March 17, Christoph Hochhäusler and the film team of his film UNTER DIR DIE STADT will be on the road in 8 Frankfurt cinemas and will discuss various aspects of the film in different events.

Roland Cordes is a man of power. And as the manager of a major bank, he is used to everything going exactly as he says, to everyone doing what he wants them to, and to always getting what he wants in the end. When he meets Svenja, the wife of one of his employees, and is immediately fascinated by her, he doesn't hesitate for a second to transfer her husband abroad and thus take him out of the game. But can he really manipulate Svenja so easily - and above all without consequences? (j.b.)

UNTER DIR DIE STADT is not only an analysis of the balance of power in the financial world, but also a precise study of the toxic relationship between the two main characters. The two leading actors Nicolette Krebitz and Robert Hunger-Bühler, who play the couple in the film, will be guests at the screening. After the screening, they will read excerpts from the screenplay. Based on this, there will then be a moderated film discussion in which the portrayal of difficult romantic relationships in the film will be discussed.

Jill Stickler comes from a literary and political science background and has a strong interest in feminist and socio-critical perspectives. She is a co-founder of the FemSex collective.
