urban string »liebe ruth…dein hans werner«
In the organizer's words:
“I hardly write letters anymore—only music,” admits Hans Werner Henze, and Ruth Zechlin responds in nine notes. A dialogue unfolds between East Berlin and Montepulciano between two composers born in 1926: about love, fees, and the state of the world. One seeks her niche in it, the other, freedom. The motto is: “You can’t stay out of it!”
