In the organizer's words:
Today, Riehl stands for chic villas around the Flora and the botanical garden. But earlier, from the middle of the 19th century, a leisure and entertainment district developed on the banks of the Rhine in Riehl, which was called the "Golden Corner of Cologne". The zoo and flora remain to this day. At first glance, only postcards remain of Luna Park with its water slide, hall of mirrors and folk show. The racecourse and skating rink have disappeared. But if you look closely, there are still traces of the hustle and bustle of that time at the golden Spetz of Cologne.
