Between Schäfers Nas' houseboat in Rheinauhafen and the pipe bomb in Ferkulum.

Südstadt is not only hip, but also the scene of a wide variety of cases that have made waves. These include the Grobben case, who was "caught" in the so-called "Schwulenklappe" on Waidmarkt in 1966, subsequently prosecuted and criminalized under the then applicable §175 ("gay paragraph").

From Schäfers Nas, who lived on a boat in the Rheinauhafen and ruled Cologne's underworld, to a pipe bomb attack on the "Ferkulumstube" restaurant in 1980.For a long time, no one could be brought to justice, even though the perpetrator was considered practically convicted.

In the southern part of the city, we also visit places that were sadly made famous by the National Socialists.

We go to the Römerpark, where the book burning took place on May 10, 1933, and to Abraham Ochs' stumbling block on Titusstraße.
