UWAGA

After 13 wild years of crossover, during which Uwaga! has explored a wide variety of musical styles with meticulous attention to detail—sometimes as a quartet, sometimes performing with renowned symphony orchestras such as the WDR Funkhaus Orchestra—the“classical innovators from the Ruhr region” (WAZ) are now embarking on their next great adventure. Over the course of 90 minutes, they’ll cover an incredibly broad spectrum, as Uwaga! boldly attempts to chart the entire history of music in a single program.

Chronologically, the audience is catapulted in fast-forward from early Renaissance sounds through the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, jazz, and rock ’n’ roll eras all the way to today’s pop hits. Music by Monteverdi, Haydn, Wagner, Miles Davis, the Beatles, and Daft Punk is brought together in a single program.

You can—and must—expect anything. With a unique blend of humor, passion, audacity, and virtuosity, Uwaga! makes the music their own, deconstructs the styles, and reassembles them, creating an incredibly entertaining journey through the centuries.
