veline repertoire is a choreographic study of Italian TV showgirls, fantasized as a lesbian romance. "Veline" refers to a showgirl duo whose job it is to perform the so-called Stacchetti: 30-second dance interludes with cheerful routines and omnipresent smiles.

In this new production of their repertoire - from the 1990s to the present day - the performers break free from their ties to the camera and begin to dance for each other. What begins as mirroring becomes seduction: frivolous gestures intensify into erotic tension, smiles turn into camphorous enchantment until the choreography romantically intertwines the two.

veline repertoire combines the gestures of Million Dollar Smile with the choreography of culo 2 aka le veline and deconstructs the smooth surface of Berlusconian femininity to reveal the desire - and resistance - underneath.
