VELVET RUSH
In the organizer's words:
With their second studio album, “Black Storm,” set for release in 2027, Velvet Rush is opening a new chapter. At the same time, the Hamburg-based female-fronted hard rock band will embark on its first headlining tour. Many fans have been waiting a long time for this tour. For years, the band has repeatedly received messages asking when there will finally be a Velvet Rush tour of their own. Now the time is right. With a new album in tow and the experience of the past few years behind them, Velvet Rush wants to give back exactly what their fans have shown them since the band’s inception: trust, passion, and a shared love of rock ’n’ roll.
The audience can expect a show entirely dedicated to “Black Storm.” The new material will be performed live for the first time, complemented by songs from their debut album “Trail Of Gold” and a few surprises. After the concerts, the band will take time for their fans. CDs and vinyl will be available on-site, and of course, Velvet Rush will sign their albums and be available for personal conversations.
With “Black Storm,” Velvet Rush showcases their most powerful side yet. The sound has become rougher, heavier, and more direct, without losing the great melodies and groove that define the band. Powerful guitar riffs meet a driving rhythm section and the distinctive voice of Sandra Lian, whose expressive vocals and charismatic stage presence have become the band’s trademark. Together with guitarist Jam Moncur, bassist Tim Black, and drummer Daniel Rothe, she blends the spirit of classic hard rock with modern production and a unique musical style.
Since their formation in 2023, Velvet Rush has gradually made a name for themselves. The band first gained international attention with their debut EP. The single “Euphonia” was voted “Best Song of the Week” by Classic Rock Magazine UK. With their debut album “Trail Of Gold,” the band consistently continued on this path. The song “Shake That Thing” appeared on Classic Rock Magazine’s CD compilation. This was followed by interviews and features in Rock Hard, Classic Rock, and ROCKS, where “Trail Of Gold” was honored as the Album Recommendation of the Year. At the same time, the songs found their way onto the playlists of Rock Antenne, RADIO BOB!, and Classic Rock Radio.
The band has also quickly earned an excellent reputation on stage. Performances at the Rockharz Festival, Metal Hammer Paradise, and the Dutch Into The Void Festival were among their first major stops. Further highlights followed in 2026 with the Wacken Open Air, the Maidstone Festival in England, and the Riverside Festival in Switzerland. In addition, Velvet Rush is supporting the Australian hard rock legends Rose Tattoo on their final European tour. Previously, the band had toured alongside The Vintage Caravan and Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains.
