Vernissage und Konzert von Garth Erasmus
In the organizer's words:
The South African artist Garth Erasmus will open his exhibition "XNAU DRAWINGS" with a concert at the Maigalerie.
The exhibition is a small retrospective showing a selection from the body of work that Erasmus developed in the years after apartheid and calls XNAU DRAWINGS (Xnau is pronounced as "now"). The context for this work arises from the exploration of his indigenous roots, namely the Khoisan, which represents a journey of self-discovery and decolonization.
The concert will feature Garth Erasmus together with Ben Watson on keyboard and Peter Baxter on drums.
The concert starts at 19:00. Admission from 18:00.
