Vierte Schicht mit Monika Salmanyan

On 17.06.2026 at 7 pm, Monika Salmanyan, the winner of the arti silver medal in 2026, will be a guest in our talk format "Vierte Schicht". She will talk to Justin Hoffmann about her Armenian roots and her current intentions and interests.

Monika Salmanyan came to Wolfsburg from Armenia four years ago with the aim of getting to know the culture of this country. She is a new face on the Wolfsburg art scene, but after winning the arti silver medal she is certainly no longer an unknown quantity. Her artistic training began in Armenia. There she studied painting intensively and learned how to work with color, composition and figures. Today, she combines these fundamentals with a contemporary and experimental way of working. Since 2024, she has been studying fine art at the Braunschweig University of Art in the class of Lutz Braun. However, she still lives in Wolfsburg, which entitled her to take part in the arti competition. She was nominated for the Eb Dietzsch Art Prize in 2026 and received the August Macke Sponsorship Prize in 2025. We are sure that we will be hearing a lot more from her!

As Monika Salmanyan is a jazz fan, the conversation will be followed by cool jazz served with cool drinks. The event will take place at the bar in the Kunstverein Wolfsburg, entrance via the staircase in the rear left tower. And of course: Free admission!
