__It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we present to you an evening of incredible energy and power. Helsinki meets Berlin with a full baggage of experimental and very straightforward electronic jazz power.

Both bands -> VIRTA and MONONOKE <- can hardly be put into one genre of music.

BANDS_

_VIRTA (meaning electricity, energy or a stream) is a Finnish band founded by Antti Hevosmaa on trumpet and vocals, Heikki Selamo on guitar and vocals and Erik Fräki on drums and percussion. All of the band members are heavily equipped with electronic effects, samplers and other digital sound processors they use to manipulate the sounds of their instruments.

MONONOKE is a Berlin band founded by Fabian Rösch and Benjamin Geyer. Their musical passion is improvisation, with a sound that moves between experimental electronic music, jazz, beat music and ambient. In 2019, they released their debut album "The Foreign Loomers", which they created themselves in a disused textile factory near Dresden. During the pandemic, Mononoke recorded two EP's which will be self-released throughout this year 2024.

VISUALS_

_KAAPO is Bernhard Hollinger's alter ego for experiments with analog visuals. The installations consisting of old tube monitors are reminiscent of Nam June Paik and are played live by the artist with the help of video mixers and cameras.
