VIVE LA FÊTE
In the organizer's words:
In 1997, the then dEUS bassist Danny Mommens and singer Els Pynoo started the joint project VIVE LA FÊTE in Ghent. Their musical style, influenced by electro pop and 80s wave, not only captured the zeitgeist of the emerging electroclash movement, but also attracted attention in the fashion world, where Karl Lagerfeld was a prominent fan. At the latest, "Nuit Blanche" (2003), the third of nine studio albums released in the meantime (with monster hits such as "Noir Désir" and "Assez"), cemented the Belgians' lasting success. The band's intense stage presence, which was first documented in audio format on the "Live" retrospective in 2023, is also notorious. A full twelve years after their last concert in Cologne, VIVE LA FÊTE are finally returning to the cathedral city this September.
