With power, precision, and passion, Vivi Vassileva is currently taking the classical music world by storm. Percussion instruments are as old as humanity itself, but this master student of Martin Grubinger aims to showcase the percussion as the instrument of the 21st century. She aims to do more than just unleash a barrage of drumbeats; she also seeks to produce warm, melodious, and even romantic tones on the marimba or vibraphone. Accompanied by the equally energetic pianist Frank Duree, she will present an exciting program in Bielefeld featuring modern classics and works by contemporary composers.
