When modern metalcore sounds, thrilling live energy and the next generation of the German metal scene come together, it's time for VOID FEST2026. On September 25 from 7:30 pm, visitors can expect a varied line-up with four bands that impressively represent the diversity of modern metal.
The Moers-based CrashPilots will kick things off. Founded in 2019, the band combines modern metalcore with astonishing technical maturity and an energetic stage presence. Despite their young average age of just 16, the five musicians have already won local band competitions, gained festival experience and attracted attention with their EPs Lost In The Dark and Sins.
In Shards from Castrop-Rauxel is one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands in the region. The six-piece formation combines melodic passages with hard metalcore energy. The interplay between singer Dessi and singer Denis, whose alternation between clear vocals and powerful screams makes for intense and emotional live moments, is particularly impressive.
Invoke also stand for modern metalcore with a special atmosphere. The band combines emotional songs with impressive visual elements, creating a concert experience that goes beyond the music. As an up-and-coming newcomer, Invoke consistently pushes the boundaries of the genre and promises an impressive festival performance.
The evening's headliners are Call Of Charon. With more than 200 concerts, festival appearances including at the Wacken Open Air and support shows for bands such as Napalm Death and Unearth, the band is one of the established names in the German metal scene. With their latest album Tales of Tragedy, they continue on their successful path and deliver a mixture of uncompromising heaviness, catchy melodies and a strong live presence.
