Vom Busch in die Faust Zwei Häuser, ein Spaziergang, viele Einblicke

At first glance, the Faust Cultural Center and the Wilhelm BUSCH MUSEUM seem to host very different events. Yet, located just a few hundred meters apart—on the left and right banks of the Leine River—these two neighboring cultural institutions have more in common than one might think.

This double tour begins with insights into the current BUSCH exhibition “ACH WAS. 103 Years of Loriot,” the museum’s history, and its current work. Cartooning, artistic freedom, and a critical view of society play central roles here. The second part, held on the grounds of the Faust Cultural Center, focuses on culture, diversity, and coexistence—as well as the courage to persevere. Here, doors open to special areas of the large building complex, and the history of the former mattress spring factory is also discussed.

How have these two cultural venues evolved in terms of architecture and content? How are the two institutions faring, and how resiliently are they operating? What unites these two cultural institutions, and where do the fascinating differences lie?

Opportunities for questions and good conversations arise not only during the tours themselves but also during the walk from one venue to the other, through the Georgengarten and across the connecting Dornröschen Bridge. The tour concludes at the new Café Lieschen in the Faust. Here, you can continue chatting over a drink or two.

Unfortunately, the tour at Faust is not wheelchair accessible.

Dogs are not permitted on the tour.

The meeting point at Faust is in front of the goods receiving area.

There are very few parking spaces near the Faust grounds.
