Von Wegen Lisbeth like to call their albums like an e-mail address, sing the praises of Elon Musk and Claudia Pechstein in their songs, and process supposedly everyday snippets of observation in their lyrics into a sharper image of our society than one would sometimes like. Between melancholy and danceable pop songs, Von Wegen Lisbeth have long since become a fixture in the German-language music scene, making audiences dance at their concerts from Berlin to Annaberg-Buchholz and asking the important and unimportant questions of our time. On September 23, 2022, EZ Aquarii, the band's third studio album, was released.

Still in their school days together, the five Berliners Matze (guitar/vocals), Doz (guitar), Julian (bass), Robert (synth) and Julian (drums) got together, played (at that time under a different name) everything from punk to ska to 8-bit Gameboy music that didn't really fit into a genre and spiced the whole thing up with quirky instrumentation, such as an omnichord, a so-called rainbow night tester, refined with a strong shot of Maggi. Since then, pretty much everything has changed for Von Wegen Lisbeth, and yet everything has actually remained the same as it always was: their music still can't be categorized anywhere and can't really be compared with any other band. If you want to put a stamp on it, it's best to use the term "indie pop" - simply because anything can be hidden behind it.

After the festival summer and their own open airs, Von Wegen Lisbeth will finally be back on the tour bus in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the fall. Tickets for the 17 cities of captcha Tour 2023 will be available exclusively at Krasser Stoff and Eventim from 05.04.2023 at 12:00 and at all other ticket agencies from 11.04.2023 at 12:00.
