Suddenly separated from his companions, Anselm Pahnke ventures alone with his bicycle into the South African Kalahari Desert. Step by step his route develops through the African continent, always close to the people. He doesn't buy any water, travels only under his own power, is awakened at night in the wilderness by lions and, after a serious illness, cycles 3000 km against the wind through the Sahara. His way is unpredictable, colorful and full of life.
