Vortragsabend von SOS Humanity – Warum zivile Seenotrettung Leben rettet
In the organizer's words:
What is really happening in the Mediterranean? Why is civilian sea rescue needed - and what would happen if it were to cease? The Hamburg volunteer group of SOS Humanity invites you to an impressive lecture with insights into the work of sea rescue at the St. Petri Altona community center on June 12 from 7 pm. Free admission, donations welcome.
In around 60 minutes, the crew will talk about everyday life on board, challenges and political hurdles, as well as how civilian sea rescue is financed and why it is indispensable. The evening is also explicitly aimed at people who have had little contact with the topic so far and would like to find out more. Afterwards, there will be room for questions and discussion with the audience.
