Vortragsreihe im Rahmen der Ausstellung „150 Jahre Berufsfeuerwehr Braunschweig“ im Altstadtrathaus: „Feuerwehr-Pressearbeit während eines Industriebrands“

As part of the exhibition “150 Years of the Braunschweig Professional Fire Department,” the City Museum will present a lecture titled “Fire Department Public Relations During an Industrial Fire” on June 23 at 3:00 p.m. in the Kleine Dornse at the Old Town Hall. The event is a collaboration with the Braunschweig Fire Department

On April 16, 2024, a major fire broke out at an aerosol and spray can factory in the industrial area near the Schöppenstedter Turm, ranking among the most severe fire incidents in Braunschweig’s postwar history. Fire department personnel Christian Längle and Jens Lehmann will provide first-hand accounts of the press relations efforts during the multi-day operation. They will outline the fundamental responsibilities of the press spokesperson team, explain the internal organization, and highlight the unique challenges posed by a disaster of this magnitude.

The exhibition“150 Years of the Braunschweig Professional Fire Department,” which offers a fascinating retrospective on 150 years of firefighting history in Braunschweig through a selection of exhibits, is on display at the museum in the Old Town Hall.
