Reading in the pub - culinary delights, Kafka, chatting!

Guests: the literary jack-of-all-trades and "Hartmut und ich" author Oliver Uschmann and the Hagen fantasy veteran Carsten Wunn. The motto of the evening: culinary delights, Kafka, chatting.

Uschmann will read from his novel "Ausgefranzt", in which Franz Kafka and his work completely disappear from the world. Almost, that is.

An unsuccessful writer and outspoken Kafka disciple remembers every word of his idol. The decision: to sell someone else's work as his own. A bitingly ironic journey begins - through the literary market, art and the human psyche.

Carsten Wunn will be reading from his "Kniesel" novels, in which talking grotto elms, baldrian-dependent furry animals, domineering snakes, beer-brewing raccoons and a host of other curiosities populate North Rhine-Westphalia. There is always a lot at stake here and sometimes even the fate of the world.

Satire meets fantasy, meets a wonderful love of fables.

Host Lukas Wallner presents his short story "Die Wichtigkeit von gutem Speisen " (The Importance of Good Food ) in listener-friendly portions - the key element of the evening.

The Diehl couple invite a witness to dinner in the neighborhood. A social comedy bursting with slapstick, playfulness and culinary delights.

As always,the audience itself is a big part of the evening. They chat and exchange ideas - a literary living room.
