Karl Stojka has survived. In 1997 he stands on the street in Vienna's tenth district, between apartment buildings and parked cars, wearing a tie, hat and cane. He walks, talks, shows, remembers and recognizes the "Wankostättn": back then, in his childhood and youth, a camp meadow with wagons, inhabited by Roma and Sinti - now a place that has completely disappeared, whose former inhabitants, like Karl Stojka, were deported by the National Socialists in 1943.
