»Warten auf heute« von Arnold Schönberg / Frank Martin

A woman, a man. Marriage, everyday life, life itself… What do they rest on today? What will matter tomorrow? And how will they look back on their shared past the day after tomorrow? Using these questions as a guide, director David Hermann weaves a narrative thread through four works from the first half of the 20th century. Under the title *Waiting for Today* , he connects Arnold Schoenberg’s twelve-tone one-act opera *Von heute auf morgen* (From Today to Tomorrow), his incidental music for a film scene, and the expressive monodrama *Erwartung* (Expectation) with the song cycle *Six Monologues from “Jedermann”* by Frank Martin, a champion of tonality.

DISCOUNTS Pupils and students receive tickets in advance with a 50% discount. They can also obtain unsold remaining tickets at 15 euros per ticket for all seats at the Box Office shortly before the performance begins, provided there is no other demand. Trainees, the unemployed, Frankfurt Pass holders and participants in the Federal Volunteer Service also receive tickets at a 50% discount - also in advance.
