Media reports on African countries often focus solely on war, displacement, poverty, and the need for development aid. What is rarely seen are the rich, traditional cultures of the various peoples, as well as the vibrant Church, which is increasingly emerging from the shadow of Europe. Europe has much to learn from all of this.
