What is the content about?

As educators, we want to deal with students in a respectful, clear and appreciative manner - and then everyday life happens between time pressure, performance requirements and system structures. Authoritarian or laissez-faire? Consistent or understanding? These apparent opposites dissolve when attitude and action grow from the same foundation: a needs-oriented view of human nature.

Non-violent communication according to M. Rosenberg (NVC) is not a communication technique that can be called upon in difficult moments - it is a basic attitude of appreciation that can be learned and that manifests itself in the body, in tone and in encounters. Those who authentically embody an appreciative attitude not only save themselves and their children stress, but also become part of sustainable relationships and a safer learning environment in which children can develop.

What can you expect at this Netzwerk Vielfalt event?

In this workshop, you will explore core aspects of NVC according to M. Rosenberg as an appreciative basic attitude in everyday professional life. One focus is on empathy as a core professional skill: perceiving, understanding, translating feelings and needs - your own as well as those of the children - into coherent words and caring for them. You will take away concrete tools for cultivating an appreciative attitude and for challenging moments in everyday pedagogical life. Accompanied by two trainers for NVC who work as teachers themselves, you will work in a practical, experience-based and competence-enhancing way.

In cooperation with the event format "Netzwerk Vielfalt" of the Municipal Integration Center of the City of Aachen and the AG Inklusionsorientierung of the FachdidaktikForum at RWTH Aachen University. Therefore registration only for teachers.
