WDC-Pavillon in Offenbach: Re:Freedom – Upcycling von Erinnerung und Identität

In the organizer's words:

Bring along a piece of textile that has given you a feeling of emotional freedom or a special bond - a piece of clothing that is more than just fabric because it carries a personal story.

In this workshop, we will create something new from it with little effort. Without any sewing experience or complicated techniques, we will work with simple craftsmanship: cutting, knotting, joining and completing. The focus is not on perfection, but on your own expression and the courage to try something out.

You are invited to bring your own ideas and materials and develop your piece individually. Whether small changes or bold interventions - anything is possible. The result is a creative process that makes your memory visible and translates it into the present.

At the same time, it's about coming together: We share thoughts, inspire each other and create an open space in which personal stories come together. In this way, individual memories become a shared experience - and your garment becomes a new symbol of freedom, connection and creative self-determination.
