Design Your Own Christmas Ornaments – Made from Real Porcelain

What if your Christmas ornaments didn’t come from a department store, but were designed by you and cast from fine porcelain?

In this festive workshop, you’ll dive into the fascinating world of porcelain casting and create your own 8-piece set of Christmas ornaments.

You’ll choose your favorite designs from a variety of Christmas-themed molds and learn, step by step, how to transform liquid porcelain casting slurry into small, unique ornaments.

Porcelain is a challenging and exceptionally beautiful material. In the workshop, you’ll experience the entire process—from mixing and pouring to demolding and trimming, all the way through glazing and firing.

Your Personal Christmas Ornament Set

You’ll create a total of 8 porcelain pieces that can later decorate your Christmas tree or your home.

You can choose from various Christmas-themed shapes and put together your own personal selection.

After the workshop, your pieces will be glazed and fired at 1250 °C. After about two to three weeks, you can pick up your finished 8-piece set at the studio.

The result is a Christmas decoration that not only looks beautiful but also carries a personal story: you made it yourself.

From Liquid Porcelain to a Finished Piece

During the workshop, you’ll learn the key steps of porcelain casting:

• Mixing and preparing the porcelain casting slip
• Pouring into plaster molds
• Properly removing the pieces from the molds
• Trimming and finishing
• Glazing and decoration options
• Preparing for firing

All steps of the process are explained and guided. You can experiment, ask questions, and design your own jewelry according to your own ideas.

Suitable for beginners

Have you never worked with porcelain before?

No problem.

This workshop is specifically designed for beginners with no prior experience. You’ll be guided step by step through the creation process and don’t need any experience with casting or working with porcelain.

A special experience during the holiday season

The workshop is a wonderful way to take a creative break during the pre-Christmas season—alone, with a friend, or together with family and colleagues.

For groups of 3 or more, you can also schedule a private session.

This turns the workshop into a shared experience where each person creates their own Christmas ornament.
