Welcome Home shows works by Christina Kramer from the last five years, selected by the artbooks team.
The screen prints open up worlds of the interior and exterior that overlap, overlap and connect.
In her works, the artist thematizes the view of herself and her inner self, unadorned, vulnerable, powerful and full of understanding. This depth and connectedness, the resulting synergies and dynamics also reflect the exhibition space, which is characterized by people, emotions, memories and relationships, by familiarity and energy - a kind of home.
Everything is connected: Be it the plant structures(In the end I am only myself I), which are reflected in the fine cerebral ramifications(Powerhouse I & II) or the spark(Trust Me IV & V), which resembles the activity of a nerve cell(Star). Outer and inner connect. At the same time, the togetherness, overlapping and juxtaposition of the colors draws our gaze into the depths, allowing us to step closer in order to make out details, to get to the bottom of the glow of the colors until the motif blurs and only reassembles itself in our eyes when we step back.
