What is the state of equal opportunity for women and men in Saxony? This question arises in many areas of social life—whether it concerns the distribution of responsibility and participation in decision-making or the conditions for professional and personal development.

True equality can only be shaped and advanced by women and men working together. We would like to discuss this with you at the 2nd Networking Meeting. The goal is to share experiences, highlight different perspectives, and develop new ideas for greater equality of opportunity. We want to create a space to network, share ideas, and initiate potential collaborations for the future.

What to Expect:

•     Opening Remarks: Dr. Roland Löffler, Director of the Saxon State Agency for Political Education (SLpB)
•     Keynote Address: Nancy Gibson, a native of Canada and long-time director of the Chemnitz Music School, on gender equality in Canada—illustrated through the biographies of award-winning female authors and their protagonists.
•     Interview: Dr. Dag Schölper, Executive Director of the Federal Forum for Men, on research findings regarding men’s attitudes toward gender equality and equality policies, as well as his experiences from his advocacy for modern gender equality policies.
•     Hierarchy-Free Exchange: Do quotas help accelerate equal opportunity? – A “Speak & Listen” dialogue format in mixed small groups to discuss experiences, hopes, and moments of encouragement.
•     Networking & Closing: Conversations and new connections over light refreshments.
