Winterwanderung & Glühwein

I'm Alex, a tour guide from Munich, a passionate hiker and trained hiking guide with the Alpine Club. After 19 wonderful tours in summer, I now have four winter tours on the program. My focus is not on reaching the summit as quickly as possible. I would much rather create the conditions for an eventful day in Bavaria's beautiful countryside. The focus is on a positive group dynamic and, of course, lots of fun. We'll also enjoy a mulled wine or two after the hike! Let us surprise you😊

The participation fee is 29 €. Meals and train tickets are not included. However, I highly recommend the Germany ticket. Alternatively, you can use the Bayernticket.

Procedure

We always meet at Munich Central Station at platforms 27-36 and then travel to the mountains together by train. I recommend the Deutschlandticket, which enables a free transfer. Alternatively, you can share a Bayernticket. The train journey takes around an hour. Once we arrive in the mountains, we can start our hike straight away. I always adapt the pace to the respective group. The same goes for the duration and frequency of the breaks. But one thing is clear: we want to have fun, not break any records. And so far, everyone has managed well. Longer breaks will be taken at the summit or at lunchtime for a hearty stop at a mountain hut. Whether you take a snack with you or enjoy the Bavarian mountain cuisine in the mountains is up to you. We will finish the hike in the afternoon and then go for a mulled wine together. Either at the Tegernsee Christmas market or at a cool location near Bad Tölz. So far, we've always had a great time, even after the hike. And one or two new friendships have been made😊

Route 1: Zwiesel Round - 10.5 km I 650 m I 3.5 h I Medium difficulty

Dates: 26.11 & 10.12 I 8:45 a.m.

Munich's nearest mountains are always worth a visit. Our tour takes us to the Blomberg and the Zwieselberg. At lunchtime we'll have a hearty stop at the Blomberghaus and after the hike we'll drink mulled wine/punch in a cool atmosphere. Let us surprise you!

Route 2: Tegernsee Mix - 12.0 km I 600 m I 4 h I Medium difficulty

Dates: 02.12 & 17.12 I 8:10 am

Where is it more beautiful in winter than on Lake Tegernsee! We hike a fantastic route in the most beautiful natural surroundings from Gmund via Neureuth to Schlossplatz Tegernsee. A grand finale awaits us there at the beautiful Tegernsee Christmas market. Winter hiking heart, what more could you want?
