Winterzauber Herrenhausen

Garlands of light, decorated Christmas trees and the scent of roasted almonds and hot punch transform the palace's proud cour d'honneur, the gallery and the magnificent avenue into a fairytale-like stage for the pre-Christmas market at Herrenhausen Palace. Mulled wine, cookies, arts and crafts, Christmas decorations, beautiful things for a cozy home and countless gift ideas - in short, everything that warms the body and soul will delight visitors young and old. From Wednesday onwards, around 130 exhibitors await visitors with their lovingly selected assortment.

Highlight: Illumination in the large garden

Of course, the Winterzauber is also about enjoyment. The smell of roasted almonds will reach visitors from afar. As always, the culinary offerings in front of the castle are very tempting. The finest almond nougat, winter stollen, lard cake and - almost obligatory for this time of year - fresh Baumkuchen and hot chestnuts set the mood for the winter season. The savory delights are in no way inferior. Visitors can already look forward to delicious game burgers, raclette specialties and Finnish flamed salmon, as well as a wonderfully warming apple punch.

This year's highlight is the Great Garden, which is open to all Winterzauber visitors free of charge from 16:30. As soon as dusk falls, a wonderfully atmospheric illumination bathes the Great Baroque Garden in a romantic light. The nostalgic carousel and the stilt walkers will also make the hearts of young and old beat faster again.
