For years, there has been disproportionately loud and polarizing debate and media coverage about the legalization of cannabis, which has been in force since 1 April 2024. Since then, the beneficiaries have been even louder and more present lobbyists in the healthcare sector.

But cannabis - as irrelevant as it is compared to the popular drugs alcohol and nicotine - is not free of harm and certainly not - even if some cannabis producers would have us believe it: healthy. But: for the majority (well-off adults in stable bio-psycho-social situations) the risk is very low.

But who are the minorities that have been and are once again being ignored and how could they be better protected? These questions will be addressed by Dr. Ulrich Frischknecht, Professor of Addiction and Personality Psychology at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences North Rhine-Westphalia (katho), at "Wissenschaft im Rathaus"
