In the organizer's words:
As part of the exhibition“Doppelpass VIII. Earth’s Gravity,”the DG Kunstraum invitesyou to its recurring event series“Art and Science in Dialogue .” The guest speaker is Dr. Patrick Stoffel from Leuphana University Lüneburg. The discussion will focus, among other things, on how our relationship with the Earth has changed over time.
Patrick Stoffel studied literature and philosophy in Bochum, Bonn, Paris, and Florence. Today, he is a research associate in the “Prehistory and Environment” project at Leuphana University Lüneburg.
About the Exhibition
Gravity keeps us on Earth—and yet we are part of a larger cosmos. Humans have always sought to interpret this connection and make it comprehensible: through scientific calculations, philosophical reflections, and spiritual concepts. “Doppelpass VIII. Earth’s Gravity” brings together the artistic practices of Judith Neunhäuserer and Lukas Kindermann. Both explore gravity as both a physical and a poetic force. In doing so, our solar system becomes a field for artistic experimentation.
