Science Slam Ruhr on World Environment Day!

As part of the Essen Science Summer and to mark World Environment Day, the Ruhr Regional Association, together with the IGA 2027 and the University of Duisburg-Essen, is inviting you to a very special kind of competition: Five bright minds in science will compete against each other and try to explain their research in the context of the topic of the environment in about 15 minutes in as exciting, entertaining, funny and understandable a way as possible. At the end of the event, it is up to you - the audience of the Science Slam Ruhr - to decide who wins and who loses!

In addition to the science slams, there will also be information opportunities on current projects of the Ruhr Regional Association and the IGA 2027 as part of the supporting program. Drinks and snacks will also be available for purchase.

The Science Slam Ruhr as part of the Essen Science Summer will take place on June 5, 2024 from approx. 6 pm to approx. 9 pm in lecture hall S07 S00 D07 on the Essen campus of the University of Duisburg-Essen (first floor, yellow building of the Faculty of Chemistry).

Admission to the event is free, but prior registration is required using the ticket link above.
