In the organizer's words:
"I have no head, but five jaws. I have no front or back and I taste with my feet - who am I?" Brittle stars are relatives of starfish or sea urchins. However, they are not nearly as well known because these shy animals live a very reclusive life.
Nevertheless, they can be found in all marine areas from the beach to the deep sea. Marine researcher Dr. Karin Boos from Bremen University of Applied Sciences reports on the appearance and way of life of these exciting animals.
