Majd and Shahfaisal live in a group home for unaccompanied minor refugees in Germany. There, they begin to discover themselves—as teenagers with dreams and fears. Yet their reality is marked by the threat of deportation, family pressure, and social rejection. The film follows the two through their daily lives, which oscillate between hope and existential uncertainty. Director Marvin Menné powerfully illuminates what happens after fleeing one’s home and offers an empathetic glimpse into a phase of life that many in politics and the public sphere overlook: coming of age under a state of emergency.
