From May 23 to June 6, the Galerie Am Elisengarten at Hartmannstr. 6
is showing an exhibition of bronzes by Wolfgang Binding.
The exhibition will open on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 7 pm in the presence of the artist
Born in Munich in 1937, the sculptor and graphic artist Wolfgang Binding initially
stonemason and sculptor at the Kölner Dombauhütte. From 1959 to
1965, he studied sculpture at the Düsseldorf Academy of Art under Zoltan
Szèkessy and at the universities of Alexandria and Cairo. From 1965 to 1975
he was an assistant to Professor Elmar Hillebrand at the RWTH Aachen. After
a visiting professorship at Northern Michigan University, he became a professor at

freelance artist.
