Riccardo Chailly returns to musica viva with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra to perform the early orchestral works of Wolfgang Rihm. The conductor and the orchestra shared a decades-long artistic friendship with the composer, who passed away in 2024.

With works such as *Dis-Kontur*, *Sub-Kontur*, and *Vers une symphonie fleuve IV*, Rihm pushed the boundaries of New Music even at a young age. Powerful clusters of sound, eruptive energy, and an irrepressible creative drive characterize these works, in which dense streams of sound, surprising twists, and constant transformation combine to create a thrilling musical experience.
