Competition between poets
The poetry slam phenomenon has been conquering not only the stages of cultural venues, clubs and pubs for years with its unmistakable blend of literature and performance, but also the hearts of many listeners. Authors of all genres present their texts within a time limit and face the vote of the audience. Form and content are completely free. This makes every poetry slam an exciting and gripping event in which nothing is predictable.
We can look forward to a firework display of words and emotions, the best entertainment, great humor, but also depth, thought-provoking tones and biting criticism. For this "Deluxe" edition, WORD UP! has brought some of the most renowned slammers from all over Germany to the Alte Feuerwache. The evening will be accompanied musically by "Salma mit Sahne" and regular presenter Philipp Herold will host the evening.
With Philipp Potthast, Aileen Schneider, Andivalent, Jonas Neuhäußer and Julie Kerdellant.
