Workshop 'Elektrische Küche'

In the organizer's words:

MUSIKLABOR - Who plays the music?

Are you a musician? Or have you always wanted to make music?
The Un-Label Sound & Music Department is looking for you. With or without a disability. With or without previous musical knowledge. With your own instruments or not.

For all music lovers among you, we have two great workshops on offer at the end of winter.

On Saturday, 28.02.26, the sound artists of the mixed-abled collective SONA invite you to an electronic-oriented session based on the principle of "electric cooking".

The following Sunday, 01.03.26, will be dedicated to "Community Music": Pianist Lucca Keller and drummer Till Menzer of the mixed-abled jazz trio open excess and composer Benedikt Fuchs will lead a session with analog instruments.

The following applies to both workshops: Previous musical knowledge and own instruments are not necessary, but welcome. The offer is aimed at people who want to make music in an inclusive context.

The "Electric kitchen" workshop

The electric kitchen works like musical cooking in a group. We throw ingredients into a pot together: synths, guitars, beats, scratching, creaking, radio play fragments or oriental flutes. All of the sounds produced can be heard through headphones and arrive at a separate sound console. The rotating electric chef then mixes the sound ingredients to create what will be heard through the loudspeakers in the room and constantly encourages you to spice up the sound mix with your instruments. She will thus become the chef of the different sounds, seasoning them and serving them freshly and directly to your ears, course by course - be sure to try them on site! No previous musical knowledge is necessary for the electric kitchen.

When booking your ticket, please indicate whether and which instruments you would like to bring along.

The workshop is aimed at professional and semi-professional artists with and without disabilities from the performing arts: directors, dramaturges, performers, actors, dancers, choreographers, musicians, authors as well as cultural workers and interested parties.
