In the organizer's words:

Texts that are allowed to breathe.

"Wortwirbel" takes its time.
This is expressly not a poetry slam.
No jury. No points. No hectic countdown in the background.

The readers get up to ten minutes for their texts. This creates space for stories that are allowed to develop slowly, take a sudden turn or only really ignite at the very end. This is precisely why texts often end up here that would have no place in a traditional slam.

At the same time, the evening remains pleasantly relaxed.
No endless novel passages. No overly cerebral literary atmosphere.

Instead, budding authors and experienced stage performers take turns - sometimes funny, sometimes serious, sometimes completely chaotic. Between absurd everyday observations, heartbreak, quirky characters and minor disasters, the result is an evening in which you never know exactly what will happen next.

Sebastian Schuster hosts the evening in the same way that the "Wortwirbel" itself works: relaxed, warm and without fuss.

It's best to leave your car at home - there are hardly any parking spaces in the district. Come relaxed by bus or city bike:
