WOZZECK

Wozzeck - a good man who simply wants to live his life. But the reality of the others causes him horrible fears. He searches for words to explain himself, until not even his love Marie understands him anymore. Driven by existential needs and an unspeakable fear, chased by fellow men who perversely feast on his suffering, this Wozzeck rushes lonely through the world and after his own life. Until he can stand the chase no longer and extinguishes his love and himself. Alban Berg saw Georg Büchner's drama, which has remained a fragment, almost 80 years after it was written - on the eve of the First World War. Affected by the exemplary catastrophe of the murder "Fall Wozzeck", he created with his score a funeral music for the falling man in a world in decay.
